The Greatest Showman

Hi! It's been a very very long time. Actually when I made this blog, it was an assignment by my lecturer. She wanted the students to at least be able to know how to make a blog. It's quite useful as I never made one and never even thought of making one. 

But after 2 years, I suddenly remember this blog and go back to it. I really enjoy ranting in English just because. 

So today I wanna talk about the movie I recently watched, which is (~look at the title~) Yup! The Greatest Showman. I HEART THIS MOVIE 💗💗. It's been so long that I feel satisfied after watching a movie at the cinema. Before that was Star Wars and it really broke my heart..hahah..

At first I didnt wanna watch it at all after seeing the trailer because all I get was circus. And so I thought the whole movie is about circus, which Im not interested with. BUT my brother told me it's a good movie and that I should watch it and so I did and he's totally right! (much love to you lil bro).

It's a musical film and based on true story about how a poor man changes his life by creating a circus filled with people who are different from others. The casts are Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Keala Settle and more. 

What I love most about it is the songs. I love all of it and it is very hard to actually love all songs in a movie. And the storyline is in fast-pace so you wont get boring. One more thing is because it doesn't stress you out. I mean there's a lot of movies in which the issues are too big and too hard to overcome. Sometimes I think we dont need that because it happens in our reality life. When it comes to movies, you want something not so heavy and give you joy. But it doesn't mean I cannot watch that kind of genre, just not all the time. I do watch Law Abiding Citizan too..heee~

Back to the movie, I like Hugh Jackman's character - P.T. Barnum and also his wife. Like I said, he's poor and the girl he loves comes from rich family. But he still goes to her house and asks for her hand from the father and they get married. Although the father says that his daughter wont last long with the poor life and would come crawling to her home. The wife is such sweet one. She stays with Barnum no matter what happens. 

Barnum has a strong will and is an intelligent man. He knows what he wants, which is a better life for his wife and two daughters. He does everything he can to earn more money. I really dont know how to describe how much I love this movie and everything about it. There are songs which even made me cry. One of it is this one : Title - This is Me (SPOILER ALERT!) But it feels different watching in cinema compared to laptop. Please watch it in cinema!!! This movie deserves more. 😍😍

Code geass

Assalamualaikum. Selamat pagi. Ohayo~. Guten Morgen.

Code geass is one of my favourite animes. I searched on youtube to see recommended animes that is worth watching. And lots from the videos place Code Geass on top 5. And... I begin to watch it and it's really good~. There are two seasons for this anime : Code Geass : Lelouch of the Rebellion and Code Geass : Lelouch of the rebellion R2. 

It's about a 17-year old boy, Lelouch, who suddenly one day has the geass power in his left-eye. So what can this eye do? When someone looks into it, he/she will be hypnotized and will follow and do everything that Lelouch said to them. But there's a catch...it can only be used once on same people. 

Lelouch's background:

He's actually the eleventh British prince and his full name is Lelouch vi Britania. The time setting Code Geass is 2017 (if I'm not mistaken) while the anime aired in 2006. It's like the future. In this anime, Japan is lost at war and ruled by Britain. It's given a new name : Area 11 and this is happening around the world. All lost countries will be named Area. After the death of his mother, the king sent him and his princess sister, Nunnally to Area 11 and they have stayed hidden there for years. Lelouch became angry that his father did nothing to solve the murder and renounced his anointment to the throne.

Plot:

And so with geass, Lelouch is trying to raise an army by himself to take Area 11 and kills his father. He organises a terrorist group and the japanese, who want to take back their land join him. Lelouch is a very very clever when it comes to strategy and battles.

 Why I recommend??

Just like Naruto, I love the storyline. I can't really predict what's gonna happen when I watch it. Lots characters die when I thought they're not going to. Lelouch has to sacrifice a lot to get to where he wants to be. And his famous quote "The only ones who should kill, are those who are prepared to kill". This is proven in last episode in season 2. His other quote " if strenght is justice, then is powerlessness a crime?" that wakes him up and fight.  

Same like us in this world, our life is a war, you have to think and plan strategies to achieve what you want. Lots of sacrifices to be made. You have to have a vision too as a reason to live. Everyone has a reason to be born in this world and their own place at that. And....it’s a wrap.

Naruto

Anime can be considered as cartoons or animation, which origin from Japan. Some popular animes are like Naruto, One Piece and Tokyo Ghoul.

Naruto - chosen as my first post as I am a HUGE fan of it. I began to watch Naruto when I was 11, which is in 200? and became so attached because it involves the "shinobi = ninja". Naruto is one of the most famous anime in Japan, anime world and world wide. And at last the manga (comic) is finished after 10++ years of waiting but the anime is still going on.

Even though there are lots of sites and blogs existed and have talked bout Naruto, I'm still gonna do a summary on Naruto in my own version. Uzumaki Naruto is the main character along with his teammates, Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura. He is an isolated boy, in the village where he lives. This is because a monster-nine-tailed-fox called Kyubi is sealed within him. The fox almost destroyed the village and murdered lots of people when he was in rampage. And.....the story begins. Naruto wants to prove to those people, who hated him, that he one day will become a Hokage, the strongest person and the leader of the village. He wants to show that he is not a monster they thought him to be and along his journey to become one, he faced lots of things in life. Interested? You can read the manga or just watch the anime.

Why I recommend this anime?

I'm not sure if I can list down lots of reasons because I just simply love the storyline, the relationships shown, moral values, how you can relate it to your real life and sometimes just to release your stress when you are extremely busy with assignments, presentations, field works and other stuffs. Then you'll feel rewarded once you can lie down in front of your laptop and press the button 'play'. Ha~~~.

One of the moral values is to never give up. Seriously it is in his blood. Naruto never gives up no matter how many times he has tried. But once he fails, he will train harder because he thinks it his fault for being not strong enough. That is the same in real world. Never give up to achieve what you want. When you cant get it, then do something to change it. Be stronger!!! Dont expect someone to come to your aid when you yourself refuse to get up. (Note to self)

Weakness??

I dont really know what I dont like about Naruto, so I try to 'google' it. Then I found one video in Youtube that list down all strenghtness and weaknesses in some animes and Naruto is one of it. And I agreed with the list. One weakness is that Naruto has too much 'Fillers'. Fillers are addition of episode slipped through in one arc. Like the plot is focussing on defeating one enemy and suddenly it diverts to other storyline and then comeback to first plot. You are so excited to watch the continuation of a fight and suddenly it stories about other mission, which is so not important.
